It took me about an hour to make the contact but was worth every minute. Worked N8S today with 5 watts from the mobile at rest with my ft-817 and home brew base loaded whip from near Los Angeles. Waited all week for the pileups to subside. K3LP is a great operator. He had to QRX a few calls after me to get netting due to \"bad bugs\"! 100 watts to a stealth 32 ft (40 meter) 26 ga. wire vertical with tuner to tune 20 meters. 4/11 at 2317z, 14020 Mhz. Neighbors don't even know I'm here. |
