Hello team,
thanks to you for the scheduled DXpedition to KH8/S N8S Swains Island. I hope that you will give the little European stations a chance to work you. I remember regarding the DXpedition XF4DL in ending 2006.. I never got a chance to reach them with \"only a 6 Element Yagi and 1KW\". Every time they worked only NA or JA if I found time to go on the air. In this case 0 QSOs with this DXCC, I hope to have more luck this time to break your NA and JA wall. VY 73 and hope to meet you on the band in the next days. Now I will wait to hear one of your first signals from Swains Island. Please remember to call sometimes to far Europe, thanks in advance. Follow up on msg from Bob G3VXJ....KH8/K6SRZ etc not heard in UK. Please look for western EU at the time Bob says and also 17z - 19z short path on 20m CW. We have had brief opening to ZK3 & 5W at 18z SP on 20m so it is a chance providing you ask specifically for west EU and have USA and south EU QRX. Thanks and good luck. |

Propagation to West Europe (inc. UK!) from KH8 is very likely to be poor at this time at the bottom of the sunspot cycle. One less known path which looks a good possibility is:
Long Path - 18mhz - 1730 to 2030 Z
Could you please include this into your operation schedule, and look for us Europeans then (preferably on CW!)?
